Blue Zones Project (BZP) - Kristi Conforti, Public Policy Advocate, BZP Tuolumne County, Cathy Parker, Director, Wellbeing, Adventist Health Sonora and BZP Local Sponsor. A worldwide research project was done in the places around the world where people lived the longest and were the healthiest. The results showed four core lifestyle values that impact longevity the most: Move Naturally, Right Outlook, Eat Wisely, and Connect. The Blue Zones is teaching us how these core philosophies can be incorporated into our communities through planning processes, as well as into our own lives.

The presentation will provide an overview of current research progress of renewable bio products and wood products. The presentation will also discuss opportunities for community and economic development in these sectors while reaching the state’s long-term goals of wildfire fuel reduction.

| 9:00am | Leave for Twain Harte Community Service District - Tom Trott, General Manager and Dave Ruby, Planning Manager, Tuolumne County A collaborative, multi-agency storm water capture and groundwater recharging project with multiple layers of infrastructure and public play and educational spaces. |

Tour the proposed Habitat for Humanity project for senior citizens to be able to age in place. The project plans incorporate the philosophies of Blue Zones - a lifetime of movement, social connectivity and purpose. The building materials will be provided by a company in Oregon using 3D Technologies. Rounded corners to accommodate walkers or wheelchairs are not an issue with 3D printing.
