Our Conferences Focus on Issues
and Networking
Over the years, CCPCA District Conferences in
the Northern, Central, and Southern Districts and our Annual Conference
have provided valuable insights on issues affecting county planning commissions
throughout California. Our conferences offer excellent networking
opportunities to meet and share information and resources with other
commissioners, staff, elected officials, and ideas from innovative organizations.
In 2010, CCPCA celebrates its 80th Anniversary. We are likely to
resume
District Conferences in 2010 because we realize they offer
cost-effective and time-effective ways to help keep current on planning
issues and resources. Our 80th Annual Conference will focus on
important new trends that will affect every county in California. |

We are currently reviewing three potential
sites for the 2010 Annual Conference: Visalia, Catalina, and Yosemite
Lodge at the Yosemite Falls. Each location offers advantages and
disadvantages in terms of access, affordability, ambience, and
being a "destination" unto itself. The CCPCA Board is now in the
process of site evaluation, and solicits your input. Please email
us with your thoughts! Thank you!

On behalf of the CCPCA Board of Directors and Ted
Allured, 2009 CCPCA president, I would like to extend a sincere
thank you to all who took time out from their busy schedules to
attend the 79th annual CCPCA Conference in Sacramento on
Saturday, Nov. 7.
The speakers were all excellent communicators
and inspired the planning commissioner in each of us to do what
we do a little better in 2010.
I would like to wish the
warmest of holiday greetings to you and your family and best
wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year in 2010.
